CHAMPION – Seven Springs Mountain Resort plans to turn Black Friday into White Friday.

Friday is the day the Somerset County resort plans to open for skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing.

According to a news release, the arrival of consistently cold temperatures allowed for extensive snowmaking Saturday through the first part of the week.

For opening weekend, Seven Springs ski and snowboard tickets are $58 per adult and $45 per child, ages 6-11.

Midweek season passholders are welcome through the weekend as well.

Skiers and snowboarders are asked to check the snow report for information pertaining to available terrain.

Hidden Valley Resort also plans to open Friday.
